What is sham self-employment?
Sham self-employment means you work like an employee in practice but are paid as a freelancer. Since 2025 the Belastingdienst enforces this actively. A good contract helps prove you truly work independently.
Is a digital signature legally valid?
Yes. Electronic signatures are legally valid in the Netherlands under the EU eIDAS regulation for commercial agreements. In most cases this is sufficient for a service agreement.
What if my client has no account?
